Ellie and I had a very nice lunch with flea yesterday. It was nice to feel like a part of urban society again for a bit. Also, Ellie was a research subject for a bit yesterday. They showed her lots of red circles on a videoscreen and tested her understanding of relationships or greater than and less than. Then, we drove back towards home and stopped to vist my neighbor and her 36-hour old baby. He was so small looking and light. It was fun to see her new baby. It was also fun to see how far we have come in 6 months. (Ellie was 6 months on Sunday.)

Oh, bugger. I just remembered, my workplace's Christmas do is on this Friday night. That could throw a spanner in the works as far as dropping in on TM!Girl goes. And, y'know, I don't actually want to leave her hanging, if I'm right and she's pretty keen then that'd just be mean. (No Wally for you!)

I have no energy whatsoever. And there's even more stuff I need to be doing.

The best one I ever saw was at a friend's who had a wood burning stove for heat. It was a cast-iron dragon, with the steam coming out the nostrils. So cool. Also totally not helpful.
