Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
vw, I agree with Anne. I'd double space and make sur eyou use lots of short paragraphs since it's an outline.
Cindy, thanks! That dress has special meaning to me - Joe had it made for me when we were dating back in Korea. I first wore it 9 years ago. It's tighter now, but I'm glad I can still wear it.
I have to second the VM love. It took me less time than Cindy, but I fell hard for the show somewhere around episode 19 or so. I watched it at first, got distracted by something else, and then finally came back to it after friends(I actually typed fiends there) kept pushing it.
I don't mind doing outlines. As a matter of fact, I usually do one for just about every paper I write. I write the thesis, then do a quicky outline to give myself an idea of how to formulate my thoughts. But,
6-8 pages???!
That's just craziness. Just because it's the best way he's learned to develop a paper doesn't mean it's how everyone works best.
On the other hand, though, I'm doing my best to fulfill the assignment. No one else in the class has. Most people either didn't do it at all or did a one-page outline. The outline is 1/3 of the final paper grade, which is 30% of the total grade. I'm not willing to take that kind of risk.
Cindy, Tom and I just gorged on Season 1 over Thanksgiving Week, and are anxious to get caught up on Season 2. I want to just start watching, but I really feel like I'll be denying myself so much pleasure if I skip ahead.
We lurve the show lots and lots.

I think I fell for it earlier than that.
An Echolls Family Christmas
might have been where it kicked in for me. I don't know. Like Nora, we gorged on it. I think at most, it took us two weeks to watch the first season, but I'm not even sure it took that long.
Fiends. Heh.
Nora,
Do you and Tom have the season 2 episodes?
It seems a little unfair that Joe has so much more bling than Stephanie. OTOH, they're the handsomest couple evah.
Echolls Family Christmas, was indeed, Teh Awesome.
Tom and I do NOT have season 2 episodes. And are very interested in how that could be resolved.

I KNOW. Although, in fairness, you just can't see mine. Or my (first time ever) awesome cleavage.
Like Nora & Tom, I watched VM almost straight through, from episodes 5-19. 20 was about to air after my weekend marathon. I stayed up until 1am watching, which says a lot considerung I was 8 months pregnant.
Let me see what I can do, Nora. I can't make promises. I can only make attempts. It would be a VHS attempt. Do you still have a VCR?
On a related note, is there any way to set up my TiVo to play a bunch of episodes in a row without intervention between each episode? I can't record the episodes when the kids are around. The show is far too mature. I can't stay up all night recording them, because I'm far too elderly.
heh, yes, we have a VCR. Don't worry, no promises made, and nothing expected.
Job~ma to Maidengurl's DH!
And thanks, folks, for the ~ma directed my way.
Trip~ma to Raq.
I adore VM, and I didn't get into it last year, either. Smonster sat me down to watch last season's finale before we watched this season's premiere. That's pretty much all it took. Now I have the DVDs and I'm lending them to all and sundry in a mass conversion attempt.
