[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Also, my presentation partner is angry with me, and the other girl sitting in the study area we're in thinks I'm a big ol' bitch (there was a woman with an annoying laugh that just wouldn't stop laughing. I said I wanted to strangle her. She didn't find that very funny and has rolled her eyes and given me dirty looks since).

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I hate to purl! I always wind up with extra stitches somehow.

I think I've been dropping them! This is the first scarf I've tried to do in anything other than fluffy/lumpy variegated yarn that's very forgiving of dropped, loose, and extra stitches. I just have to comfort myself that the friend who requested it was informed of my skill level, therefore, caveat requestor.

But the scarf looks nice and all the rows are even, I don't think my brother will notice if there are a few flaws.

I've been crocheting for several years and I don't think I've ever managed even rows. Your brother will love it!

Herding cats for fun

Happy Birthday Princess Em, and congratulations to her parents, who seem to be managing all the teleportation powers and zombie-controlling with admirable aplomb.

I feel terrible about Beverly's oak trees, and how many thousand miles away are they? I would miss them terribly. When I lived in Michigan, we had an elm tree that survived the Dutch Elm disease. I think it was the only one in town, in fact. And the city was gonna cut it down to put in a sidewalk. Long story short, you CAN fight City Hall: they put a little half-moon curve into the sidewalk and left the tree, which shaded our roof in the heat of summer for many years after that.

On Sunday, I have to fly to LA for three days of corporate training. I will have to wear business clothes. I am so very sad about this. I think I will miss sleeping amongst a pile of kitties.

I don't recall, but I seem to have a wound in my upper arm. Well, at least there's a band-aid there...

move out and draw fire

Oh no, not the oaks! I'm tearing up too. Can't they bury the power lines?

Happy Birthday Em!

Aw, shit, man. That DNA shit is gonna be all over that.(/Quoting the Wire to not-Wireheads) I've got to chill out with the L&O repeats cause now I'm seeing Uncle Lennie looking at dead virus going "There's one single-cell not getting to replicate."

And Logan's like "What are you, sorry? That thing could've hurt a lot of people."

"I guess I'm just sentimental. In this light, it looked like my ex-wife." yeah, definitely need to chill on that.
