Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The men's robe I'm wearing now goes to mid calf. The women's robe it replaced was mid thigh. I don't think there's a hard and fast rule.

Ah, I left out shortie robes which are worn by chicks and gay men on sitcoms.

Thrive to spite them

What was the name of the charity that gives new books to kids? I know the Buffistas made a donation but I can't remember the name.

I'm thinking about making a small donation to various charities in people's names as part of my Xmas gifts. I've never made a donation in someone's name, do the charities send a card to the person, could they send a card to more than one person if I made a larger donation in several people's names? Do they put the amount of the donation in the card?

askye, I think it was First Book: [link]

And as far as donations in people's name go, I think it depends on the charity. Check out their website and see what it says.

You can make an "in honor of" donation here: [link] They'll send a card to the person.

Thanks! I'll have to check the websites of all the charities I'm thinking about.

Just talked to my doctor, who is wonderful. She wants me to be seen at the clinic today, so I have an appointment at 3:30pm. Boy, I can't wait to feel all better again!

Art Crawl!!!

Skipping and skimming like mad - hope everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving.

Lots of House-ma to deena.

I'm having a disorganized day -- I forgot my wallet! Which I didn't discover until I was going through my purse to find money to buy breakfast from the vending area. Luckily, the change purse in my wallet broke so my change is separate and I could buy my coffee and granola bar. But I'm having to borrow money for lunch - which sucks.

Mal is so cute (I'm always gonna tink malibu when I see him, now) and Lilybean is adorable both with the new fabulous hat and with her hair all sticking up straight. Gonna have to go get me some coffee in the hopes that it brings me back to life after the baby picture slayage.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thanks, -t, but I think my sister's looking for something darker.

Sorry about the wallet, sumi.
