And we live to fight another day.

Mal ,'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

This being sick thing is for the birds.

They cook birds, don't they? You were on slow roast!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My Fair Lady is on Turner Classic Movies this morning. JZ keeps yelping, "Jilli needs that parasol! Jilli needs that hat! Oh, if the black and white on that dress were reversed that would be perfect for Jilli."

This is all during the Ascot scene, of course, where they're all wearing black and white.

Also, Prof. Higgins has one of the all time great movie libraries.

We're heading over to EM's house around 11:30. Then I'll take Emmett over to his school's field and we'll play some baseball to sharpen him up for his tryouts on 12/3. JZ's mom will be joining us for Thanksgiving dinner, which sounded well under way.

I hope Aimee's found some water. It's hard to cook without it. Maybe you could defrost the turkey with a blowdryer. Roast and then mash the potatos.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aimee has actual running water, we just can't drain any sinks or shower or flush a toilet.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Try not to kill anybody today, okay, Aimee? Turn on My Fair Lady - it'll cheer you up.

And thank you, Jars, for taking such good care of an expat. That's lovely of you and your soft head/heart. May all your good deeds circle round and come back to you threefold.

Always Anti-fascist!

Timelies, y'all. I'm very thankful for my bitches...I'm sure y'all feel me on that. Check the tag...see, I'm traditional. In my own way.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

What Erika said, everyone.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Aimee, They might check into their homeowner's policy, it might be covered if totally lost.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

As much as I love My Fair Lady, I'm getting a huge kick out of The 70s Show, today. It's making cooking nearly painless, even if slow because I'm laughing too hard to concentrate.

Shit's all sorts of different now.
