I don't give half a hump if you're innocent or not. So where does that put you?

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, ack. If it was a little closer, I might do it as they're open until 11 tonight, but as I said...no energy left. I also need to check into the status of my can of whipped cream. My daughter is a stealth squirter who has been known to empty entire cans through a squirt or two at a time. Heaven forbid we don't have whipped cream for the pumpkin pie!

I am capable of being the nice roomie.

She is ALWAYS the nice roomie. I mean, who woke up WHO at 4 o'clock this morning? And she didn't complain a once.

And, boy am I ever cranky! Someone take away the crank-monster, 'cause she is really awful.

Hi VW - I'm afraid I replied to your request for blog links a little late if that was what you were presenting today.

Nope. It's for next week's presentation, so it's perfect. I just sent you an e-mail. Thank you so much.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh my. I have made the meaty dressing, and the veggie dressing, and the devilled eggs.

How much horseradish are we talking about?

I never measure anything, but in a dozen eggs maybe a couple tbls or so of horsey sauce along with the mayo. Adds some kick.

The smells of all the stuff cooking here is killing me ded.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Cooking question: I am bringing my cannelini bean dip to Mom's tomorrow, and I bought a nice crusty loaf of bread to make a bread bowl to put it in. I want to cut up the bread that is left when I hollow it out to dip with, but I was at a party last weekend and the pieces were too soft for dipping. Can I put them under the broiler in my oven for a few minutes to crisp them up a bit. Mom stole my toaster oven to use for tomorrow, so that is not an option.

Sounds good to me, sj. A toaster oven is just a miniature oven, after all.

Any idea for how long I should put them in there?

Ok...I'm off to bed. The alarm is set for 2am. Ugh. This is gonna be a short night.

Mwah!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Deviled eggs are evil

Hence the name. But evil in the good way, if made right.

Also:

Cranberry sauce: 1 vote. 2 if it has the can ridges. I do prefer the kind with the cranberries in the sauce, but I understand and accept that I am in the minority.

Mashed potatoes: Fresh steamed potatoes, rolled out of their skins, blender-ed together with butter and a bit of Half & Half and served piping hot is scrumptious.
