Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My office has a Quiet Room.

It has a big comfy leather chaise and a nice pillow and a blankey.

On the sign out for the key it says that the room is for employees not feeling well, not for lunch or naps. Well, after two hours sleep last night I was not feeling good so I spent a lunch napping.

Amazing what an hour can do for a girl.

Always Anti-fascist!

That never happens. I've not felt like such a hero of the printed word since I met deadline just ahead of, um, digestive emergency. If it wasn't overwhelmed by the graphic events that followed, it would have made a bitchin' "Describe how you meet challenges," interview story, but, you know, decorum and stuff. Bummer.

I know!

Maybe they're using 'naps' as a euphamism for 'nooners'.

Thrive to spite them

vw -- you totally rock!

I wish we had a quiet room. I did not sleep well at all, it was like a light nap where I kept waking up adn was aware of being in bed, etc. All night. And the night was perfect -- no dog barking, the right temperature, I was all cozy. It wasn't until I was driving to work feeling slightly sick to my stomach that I realized I didn't take 2 pills.

Because of my tight budget my shrink gave me samples of my meds, which are in blister packs. I just didn't punch out enough pills. I need to find my travel pill container and punch them all out.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It was such a pleasure hanging out with Perkins and JZ, shopping, working on someone else's house, eating, and just chatting.

It was very fun and not just because you two did most of the work for me. We should do it again, like on Sunday the 4th!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

However, yeah, single. Some LAista should really do something about that.

How does he feel about commuting up the coast to be a well-treated chewtoy to a gothy punk girl who needs some distraction? :)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

skip, skip, skim, skim

I think everyone should have a really good week this week. I think all of us deserve it.

I have an odd question: it looks like my employer paid me twice for some vacation pay (because they can be disorganized twerps, sometime). I'm assuming that even though *they* screwed up, I don't get to keep the extra money, right? The universe just doesn't work that way, no matter how much I hope it might?
