Why couldn't Giles have shackles like any self-respecting bachelor?

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I could use some you-can-do-it~ma. There's only a month left in the semester, and my reasonable mind tells me I can totally do this, but my emotional mind is a little out of whack about the whole thing.

Boy, do I hear that, vw. I understand this so very well. I tell you what, if I can do it, you can, too. We'll make it through together.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Wait, are they those Futurama brain worms where you suddenly get all smart and charming and get your life together? Cause I could use a case of those.

Always Anti-fascist!

Much better than Star Trek screaming agony ones...they come out through your ears and stuff.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

from last night:

Burrell, have you tried the flushable woven diaper liners with Isaac? They do seem to wick the moisture away from the skin pretty well, and would work with a diaper service diaper.

I hadn't tried them, but that sounds like the perfect solution. Danke!

Mostly lurking...

So, those steroids? Still causing the eating thing. Just ate a pound of baby carrots. I *totally* didn't mean to!

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, I guess they were a good choice at least.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wait, are they those Futurama brain worms where you suddenly get all smart and charming and get your life together?

Sorry. I thought they were sour gummy worms so I ate them all.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Everyone who thinks ND should post a picture of himself holding his Ovation (which also includes a glimpse of my darker hair next to the pretty statue) raise your hand!

Only one hand in the air, but it was waving through over 100 posts of catch-up. That should count extra, right?

Two neat things to share:

My dad is arriving today for a two week visit, and he's fun and great to have around so I'm thrilled!

There was much cleaning in preparation for said visit. One of the major cleaning things I did was spending ages getting cat hair off the couches. Ugh. I then covered the couches with cloths, because the couches themselves are kind of ugly. Then, I sat down on one of the couches and watched a little Buffy for a break (I'm working my way through again, and am now on S2). Rocky, the long-haired crazy oaf of a cat, immediately came over for pets, which is becoming fairly normal for him. Then he started rubbing all over my nice, clean couch! Then he went over and did the same on the other one. Then Freya, the little black cat, followed suit. Within 5 minutes, I had to de-hair the couches all over again!!! Ackpfth!

And responding to other news:

Juliana, it sounds like a rough day, but you can do it and soon you'll be in San Francisco where things will get better.

Crappy, non-birthday celebrating co-workers suck.

New Zealand!!

edited to clarify that not everything is about my dad and the annoying cute cat story.

Our wings are not tired.

Bobby brought home a permission slip to get a free FluMist. Any reason not to do this? I've never had a flu shot since the Swine Flu in the 60's. I'm rather needle phobic. If it were a shot I wouldn't have him do it, but the intranasal thing sounds doable. Anybody do this?
