Has anyone heard from -t lately?

Forgot to send virtual snuggles and health~ma to Steph and Ellie. Sick babies are no fun, especially when you're sick, too.

Well duh, I’d be crabby too.

I'm dreading Thanksgiving.

I’m looking forward to the joy of having people over and cooking for days because I enjoy that part. Alas we have the big issue with Evil SIL (why oh why didn’t I manage to hook up Brendon’s brother with Trudy). I have absolutely no problem with just not inviting her. I don’t even have a problem with Brendon checking with his brother to see if she’s working and then offering an invite. I just don’t want her in my house. For years I have been able to be all non-confrontational with her, but she and DH will be looking to start a fight and they will succeed. Then I will get mad at DH because he should know better. Right now I’m just hoping she’s working a long shift so I can be avoidant.

I'm at work because I pretty much was home the last couple days and I gotta get stuff done.

Oh! One of the people on DH's pool league team was very excited when he was telling her about the Buffistas and my involvement here. She has a deep love of all things Buffy and Angel, leaves her tv on SciFi most of the time, and loves to converse with people who read actual books. She's the only woman on his team and I'm very fond of her. She's a lovely combination of powerful accomplished career person, tough competitive sports person, and girly girl. So I'm giving her a shout today and inviting her to join our ranks. (I may have to come back and delete all that nice stuff I said) Whee! If I can't bring the Buffistas to my neighborhood I'll bring the neighbors to the Buffistas.

I would so wear them, except no legwarmers in my climate, and no pointy toes with my square feet, and no heels that high with my ankles, but I like the color!

Emeline was very happy with our Stargate. Then she got cranky because I'd locked her out of the Dialer thingy.

I told her "No alien empire homeworlds for you, young lady, not until you've amassed enough of a military force or starfleet to actually stand a chance against otherwise superior alien technology, plus you've got to stop bonking your head when you walk under the table."

She said "Mneh! Bye bye, dada! Mneh!"

So we're still working through that issue.

You know, Joe, if you let her get across the room via event horizon, she wouldn't have to bonk her head on the table. Meanie.
