It's normal that I'm feeling weepy and vaguely anxious about putting Annabel in daycare, right?
Normal. I remember Aimee fretting about it recently. You get used to it fairly quick though.
Emmett was the only baby (and at 5 months, quite young) at his daycare, until he was 1.
(I still remember all the toddlers yelling, "The baby's Daddy is here!" when I came to pick him up.)
Everyone I've ever known who's put a kid in daycare has felt the same (no experience of my own to add, but I'm sure I'd be a complete mess -- I'm the freak who keeps calling the dogsitter to check in).

Heh. I still do this, too.
In just the past hour, I've gone from, "Daycare will be good for her because she'll be around other kids and have teachers who have actual training in early childhood development and such," to, "How can any one person watch 6-7 toddlers at the same time?! My poor little girl!"
Glad to know it's normal.

It's really hard to imagine (at first) that you can trust a stranger to keep your kid alive.
And yet they do!
Susan, Congratulations on the job!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{juliana}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Wishing you tons of coping~ma and direction~ma.
{{{vw}}} Feel better.
It was Mom's birthday today, and I didn't have classes because of scheduling weirdness at my school, so we had a nice lunch with margaritas and had a fun day tipsily shopping.
Not!Emily has a friend over for dinner. Toto decided to pee all over the kitchen floor. Nice.

"I'll get you my pretty! And your dinner guest too!"
Susan, I sat in the car and cried when I dropped the youngest kid off at daycare the first time. Even though it was the same place that my oldest was at and a known entity - the oldest had been going there for 2 years when we added the youngest and I was really happy with the place, they did a terrific job with babies, toddlers AND pre-schoolers. And yet? Cried my eyes out.

Not much more to say, other than to request some job-ma. I'm going to be switching temp jobs within the firm where I'm working, and into an assignment that is a) in the field I want to be in and b) possibly temp-to-perm.
