Now tagless for your comfort.

I seem to have forgotten how to live nicely with other people in the last year.

Sorry, Steph. This feeling comes and goes for me, too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What Emily said, with an added they were WRONG to remove the lable, and you should at least torture them for a little while for doing so, even if that is all you accomplish.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Right, wrong to make faces.

Vintage clothes are generally more lovely than actually financially valuable. And I'd never sell the thing of course. But I want it nice and like he had it. And they didn't fucking get that. I said replace the missing buttons, not ALL the buttons (they don't show, its a covered placket) Grrr. Just pissy is all.

Trust my rage

You can join me in my cranky corner.

Thanks, I think I need to be there. Sometimes I wish I could just take a timeout for myself, stop time for a bit, and come back when I'm ready to deal with life again.

How's Lily doing with the food? Anything new?

{{{all Buffista parents}}} Because I am sure you all deserve it for one reason or another, and because I think you are the coolest of parents.

Truer words were never typed.

OK, I celebrated the non-gestational diabetes with a scoop of Dove vanilla ice cream and now the baby is doing the merengue.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

How's Lily doing with the food? Anything new?

She rejected applesauce today.

If it weren't for the slight "Child, you've got to learn to eat sometime!" panic, it would be hilarious. As it is, it's just funny.

I put the applesauce on the spoon and tried it without cereal. Got it to her lips, where she tasted it and frowned. Tried again. Lips seal shut. Add cereal, in case it's a texture thing. Lips remain sealed. Hand her the spoon to play with, because sometimes, she'll eat what's on the spoon while playing with it.

Not this time.

Lily wipes spoon on hand. Puts to mouth. Decides that there's still too much apple on spoon, and wipes on hand again before happily chewing on the now-foodless utensil.

Thus far, the only thing she's even appeared to not dislike is blueberries, and they make her butt unhappy. This feeding thing, it's a slow process.

Yum! I never keep ice cream in the house because I have no will power that way, but it sounds so good. I'm so glad for the good news.

If it weren't for the slight "Child, you've got to learn to eat sometime!" panic, it would be hilarious.

Sounds very, very cute (as all things Lilybean). FWIW, I had a friend whose daughter refused solid food until she was maybe 9-10 months old. The pediatrician kept bugging my friend about it, but her daughter was growing so no one worried that much.

I only buy one pint of ice cream at a time in order not to go crazy. I'm hoping DH finished this pint off so I'm not tempted to eat any more.

Babies are weird.
