Jilli, I think you should buy the book of Edward Gorey interviews Ascending Peculiarity because he was always a very cool and fascinating oddball, and I think you'd really like his story.
I have been meaning to. Of course, right now I'm re-reading all the Harry Potter books, because they're good, distracting comfort reads.
Aaaaaand I just found out that am going to have a minor surgical proceedure on my birthday. Which is crappy timing, but no more cramps for the rest of my life is a pretty good birthday gift to myself.
Now I just need enough days to have passed that I'm not constantly missing my cat. I can't even imagine what Aimée is going through.
Oh love. Losing someone is hurty no matter if it's a beloved kitty or a beloved Grampy.
And yes, days need to go by quicker.
I'm making brownie sundays for dinner. Who wants to join us?

ohgodyesplease.
Even tho' I am trying to avoid comfort-eating right now. Whic really isn't a problem, 'cos when I'm really upset, food is not at all interesting. But brownie sundaes sound so. freaking. good.
Comfort eating is ok.
I ate 1/2 my grandmothers left over halloween candy in about 5 minutes.
She had 7 bags leftover.
Did you eat the chocolate absinthe bar yet, Jilli? I was curious how that would taste.
Wow, Hec, can't even imagine.

I forgot to tell you! That chocolate absinthe bar you sent me is the same one as the one I tried in Vienna last fall and fell in love with. The chocolate is really good quality - very dark and rich - and the absinthe flavor really does taste like absinthe, and not just aniseed.
Good on you, Aimee. I think that's exactly what you should have done.
