Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, that's good to hear. The tech who performs it, and scheduled my appt., asked me three times if my breasts tended to sensitivity, so it worried me a bit.

Thank you Raq, I always found it amusing that my birthday is a good time to blow things up, according to British tradition.

Thank you VW and Beverly, I appreciate it!

Our wings are not tired.

I am ashamed to admit that I have never had a mammogram. I have no specific risk factors other than being 51, but I know it is something I should do. I will probably do it next time I go for my annual.

Jessica! (or any other cook types) I have a question. I have had the worst time with baking breads since I moved to Florida. I have my book group coming here Thursday and I wanted to make pumpkin bread because it makes the house smell so yummy, but I would rather it wasn't crunchy on the outside and goo on the inside. I know that compensation is made for high altitudes, but what about low altitude. Any hints?

I'm thinking maybe I should lower the temp and let it bake longer.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

That would be my guess, but I don't actually know.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm thinking maybe I should lower the temp and let it bake longer.

That'd be my first suggestion. Maybe also lower the amount of liquid a little?

Laura, my previous insurance said that, with no other risk factors, 50 is fine. They didn't consider my mathernal grandmother's breast cancer to be a significant risk factor. My current doctor does consider it so, which is why she thinks I should have had my first 2 years ago. I guess we're splitting the difference.
