[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

That's how my dad always drank it, especially when he didn't feel well.

{{SuziQ}} I saw nothing wrong with your spelling. That may be because I'm tired and my keyboard's space bar is broken and posting, in fact typing anything, is a huge pain in my ass. New keyboard on payday! oh joy.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I haven't gone back to look at what I actually wrote.

As for hanging out on the board on a Saturday night - as of Monday I will have been married 18 years - I'm used to boring weekends.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

in which Douglas Adams explains the way to make a proper cup of tea

What is his take on the proper cup of tea?

Now tagless for your comfort.

What is his take on the proper cup of tea?

a blogger noted it for you here. It requires BOILING (as opposed to BOILED) water and milk.

And he LIES! I'm American and I've had perfectly good cups of tea. Only...you know...in England.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

What is his take on the proper cup of tea?

Boil the water (tea is to be made with boil*ing* not boil*ed* water).

Once it is boiling, swish a little around in the pot, to warm it.

Dump the water out, add tea bag(s)*, then pour in the (still boiling) water.

Let it steep for a couple minutes.

You can take this opportunity to put milk in your cup, if you like. This is not polite, but it prevents scalding the milk.

Pour the tea.

* Tea bags are not optimal, but the instructions are for Americans, so one step at a time. He also suggests Earl Grey.

eta: not too bad, on comparison, given that it was from memory.

Apparently Alton Brown says you don't want to actually boil the water because of the potential of releasing chemicals that might be in the water.

My solution to this is bottled water for tea.
