And school is one of them. That's part of the problem.
And also this. Foisting all the blame on the kid isn't going to fix the problem. And that's probably what the school will try to do - expel the troublemaker and the problem goes away.

Jars, I don't think you're wrong to feel sorry for the bully who obviously has some problems interacting with his peers. My feelings are all for my nephew right now -- and I'm admitting that the feelings of wanting to run down there an break the bully's ankles don't make me much better than that bully, except I've not executed that plan -- because that's the kid I know and who played the music for my wedding.

Being able to control those feelings are a huge difference. We all have violent thoughts, but learning to control those urges is what living like a socialized person is all about.
I suspect impulse control is not something the bully sees at home.

In other memememe news: I teach my first lesson tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous about it. I've taught college classes, but not high school (well, I've subbed, but that's very different). Some calm~ma between 8 and 9:30 tomorrow would be much appreciated!
