Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

We have two new dogs named "Thor" and "Lacie"

[link]

Alert readers may notice that "Lacie the dog formerly known as Pepper" is the same one I had a picture of a couple of days ago, but "Thor" is not "the dog formerly known as Chilli". Part of the adoption process is having everyone in the family meet the dog (or dogs in this case) and the kids didn't like Chilli. So we ended up with Thor instead.

Spiffy or tragic?

depends on who's wearing it, really. I think that the right attitude/outfit could totally pull it off

Awww...beautiful dogs, Gud!

Betsy, I like it. I totally think you could pull it off.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yes, Betsy, you have the panache to pull that into a uniquely-you-expressive and very pretty outfit.

Cute dogs, Gud! And TCLGITW looks pleased with both of them.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

I signed up to be a psych tutor at the beginning of the semester. It was my understanding that if students got assigned to me, I would be e-mailed. Apparently, there has been some glitch in the system, and I was assigned two students WEEKS ago. These poor students have not heard from me, and are probably panicking. Ugh. And now, I really don't have the time for this...and I'm going to have to make up some major lost time. Shit.

Is the glitch yours or the school's? Can you push it back on them due to their dumb glitch?

It's got to be the school's. I never received e-mails with the assignments. I just feel so badly for these students. And the prof is probably frustrated with me, and I had no knowledge of any of this till just now. The coordinator e-mailed me because they haven't gotten any time sheets from me. Ugh.

I'm getting the pig!

Crap, vw! That's awful. HOWEVER - Do some deep breathing for a few minutes, first. One step at a time. Baby steps are still progress.

Adorable dogs, Gud. Lacie's eyes seem to be the same exact color as her fur.

if you can let go of being concerned about others' frustration with you... there was nothing you could do, short of being super psychic or something... If you can't handle that at this point in the semester (what with crazy catching up the students), I think you're well within the bounds of acceptability to let the department/coordinator know that.

Not your fault!
