[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I'm so glad I rent right now. It looks like there is some kind of busted pipe from the house to the street. I noticed a damp area awhile back but didn't realize what was going on. I'm running the washing machine and I ran out to the car to get something and I noticed the water bubbling. So I called my landlady and let her know.

All is well that ends in pizza.

an eviction notice - not for things like being behind on rent, but for...prancing around naked in the apartment. Was very shocked, as I had not done those things.

You don't do enough of it IRL, either.

Having Andrea here in person is most certainly my very good thing that happened this year.

I read this as "here in PRISON". Hee.

Meanwhile, can I get some -ma? Apparently my dad as been in the hospital since last night, and has some kind of heart thing going on. They think he'll be fine, but I feel SUPER guilty that I didn't listen to my voice mail until tonight, when they called like, four times between last night and tonight...

(And that on top of the job stress and my umfriend being in town right now (though she's not here tonight) is really not fun)

I have NO good advice for the procrastinators around here--I love how good it feels to get something done, and yet that never seems to help me keep it up. And I have to try not to borrow shit from friends, because if I don't give it back like, the next day? I hang on to it for MONTHS, and it sits next to the door or wherever, and every time I see it I think "Oh, next time I walk out of the house, I need to send that/bring that to Friend..." and I don't.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I am not allowed to borrow things for that very same reason. I don't think I currently have anything owned by a buffista, but if I do, whoever owns it should kick me in the ass and ask for it back.

Much health~ma for your dad and peace and strength for everyone, meara.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Many thanks for the encouragement, insight, advice, etc. I have bookmarked quite a few posts to read when I'm not skipping and skimming like a mad thing. It was all very, very helpful, especially with the 'I am uniquely rotten' thing I had going on. The meltdown has been averted, and I have actually taken steps towards getting some things done that have been waiting for me to get them done.

Health~ma for meara's dad.

Good news on this end--my best friend from Baltimore is in town for the weekend! Hooray!
