'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Now, that didn't make me cry. Laugh I did.

Because books.

The poncho.

Both actually bring a tear to my eye.

Also, how does one wear that without catching it on anything and everything? The thing is made of holes.

Hey guys. I ignored the good thing question. Got the kids in a preschool that is good for Aidan and busses. Got a new doctor who's listening to me. Got off the AD that was making me a half-zombie.

thanks amych for the wonderful detail on the procrastination demon slaying report

Yes. Thanks, amych. (I quoted Laura right back!)

I am writing a request for bids for a non-profit organization that wants to change webmasters and hosting companies. They expect the webmaster to design the new website they're getting at the same time. They require the request to include something along the lines of "must support Dreamweaver and FrontPage" despite me trying to explain that a web page works no matter what it's written in, if it works, that is and "the webmaster must be skilled in Access."

I don't even know half the stuff they want to say but don't seem to know how to express to me, and they don't know anything about SQL or anything not HTML written in Dreamweaver, frankly. Would anyone like to read the request and tell me how badly it sucks?

Betsy, that poncho is awful. Although, without the fur it kind of reminds me of this: [link] which I like and was thinking of purchasing the kit for. Now I'm rethinking. Other thoughts?

Oh, and Deena, send it my way. I'm up from my nap now.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Early-to-mid-'60s starlet (female lead in a few teen-oriented movies, mostly of the kind not involving a beach) wearing a spiderweb.

Highly amusing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think it would be pretty without the fur, but I like ponchos.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Timelies.

Punctuation and congratulations to those that need it.

My good thing? Well, I got married to a man that, despite all my faults, loves me for me. He had 6 years to find out what kind of person I am and he didn't run screaming for the hills. I've never been happier.

Also good...the amount of support I've gotten from my all of my friends, especially you guys. I'm really lucky to have people that will call me on my shit, but hug me at the same time. I don't always want to hear it, but I need to. So thank you.

I owe a number of people emails. Procrastination and work have put responses off until this evening.

So, the poncho's a no go, then?

If it were a shawl and not a poncho, it could go.
