Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, Ginger, those are beautiful!

Also, I'm not sure I got to wish you a Happy Birthday, yesterday. So, Belated Happy Birthday!

You'll be happy to know that you share a birthday with my favorite aunt, who turned the big 6-0 yesterday.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yep: [link]

At least, I think they're pretty similar.

I'm getting the pig!

{{{Aimee}}} So glad you were able to get there in time to say good-bye, sweetie. His love will always be with you.

brenda, I hope your sister retaliates. Actually, just as long as *someone* retaliates on her behalf, I'll be happy. And I'm more than willing to provide an alibi, if needed.

What an ass!

Breaking up with someone should be done face to face. If that's absolutely impossible, the only other option (IMHO) is the telephone. Email, post-its, restraining orders, etc. are not acceptable ways to end a relationship.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

we all agree that Brenda's Sister's Ex (BSE) is a monumental ass, but isn't it better that he did it before she moved?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Aimee, I'm so sorry, and glad for you that you were able to say good bye.

Also, there are pictures of our two new dogs, Chilli and Pepper*. The pictures of Chilli is pretty bad, but we won't actually have them until Thursday, so all I've got are the shelter's pictures. The kids are very excited.

  • Pepper is not the official name yet. Chilli already knows his name so we're sticking with it. The other dog is named Tink, but I'm lobbying for Pepper.

Trust my rage

{{{Aimee}}} I'm so sorry about your grandfather but I'm also really happy you made it there to be with him. Much peace~ma to you and your family.

Not Plei, but we are doing simple signs with Mal (mother, father, kitty, water, milk, etc). Maybe he'll start signing back in a bit. He's using Mal-words for those things now.

That's so cool. One of the things I've noticed about being home with Ellie is that I'm looking for stuff to *do* with her. I mean, I am capable of leaving her alone, and I do let her do her own thing, but I have more fun if I have some sort of goal in mind. I think flea is going to give me some books on baby signing - double yay there because it means I don't have to buy them. Also, I love the idea of Squeakaboo Test Pilot.

Gud, those are some cute kiddos. Such smiles! And doggies!

{{Aimee}} All the best to you and your family. I'm glad you're there with the people who love you and who loved your grandfather.

Someone just reminded me of an 8:30 meeting today. Blerg. Here's hoping for free bagels.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Hugs and hairpats to Aimee ... and everyone else who needs them.

Raq, if you're interested in making something for Mal's Christmas stocking, I'm planning a trip to a craft store (A.C. Moore) and G Street Fabrics this weekend - want me to look for something for you? If so, let me know - profile addy's good.

ETA - sj, another source might be a museum shop - I've seen lovely ornaments and such in the (innumerable) catalogues I get.
