Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

There are. Not uploaded on this end yet, but soon. Jilli took pictures too, but I think most of them were of Clovis.

This is true. I kept forgetting I had a camera with me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so bummed I missed out on seeing you in person, Jilli, but I'm glad you had a great time.

Aimee, I think that you will feel best, in the long run, for having gone and said your good byes.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Speaking of peeps, has anyone talked to -t lately? I worry about her, and never remember to email.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tell you what, e-mail me the next time it happens, and I'll call her and talk her down. That way, you don't feel obligated to solve her problems for her.

There's always the option of you monitoring the board to see what kind of responses Susan's getting so you can know when to talk her down. Honestly, if the responses she's getting is upsetting your household to the extent it makes you miserable for three days, that really isn't OUR problem.

We've been nothing but supportive to Susan through EVERY single freak out over A's developmental stages. I've personally seen well-meaning advice from experienced parents flung asided, repudiated and outright ignored.

There isn't just a single reason for this blow-up, Dylan, it's been building for well over eighteen months now. We all need hairpats and hugs now and then but we don't wrap each other in cotton and pretend it's all sunshine and puppies. If I'm being melodramatic or silly, I tend to appreciate a little honesty from someone whose opinion I trust. I can usually find that here.

All I see from your apologies are justifications and excuses for your behavior. And there's really no good excuse to me. You see, there are a half dozen or so new mothers on this board. Some of us don't have tons of experience with infants either. Some of us even have issues with depression and anxiety. And financial issues, among other problems. But we're muddling through. Trying to trust our instincts and seeking advice and help and comfort when we need it.

And if we seek it here, we need to understand that we're talking to real people with real opinions. Trying to mold those opinions into something that may be more palatable to your wife isn't going to go over so well.

I have to say, dw, that Betsy has a good point, although I probably would have said it differently. I don't feel that you are asking us to be her therapists, but you are asking us to take special action the next time Susan expresses her anxieties in thread.

I'm sorry that Susan got upset, but I don't see why the members of this thread should feel that we are responsible.

Yes, this.
