[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Right now 3 good friends live in our building and another lives a few houses away on our street and a fabulous new deli/coffeeshop place has opened a scant few yards away from our building - it's becoming surprisingly like 'Friends', with our very own Central Perk.

Awww! Can I just say how very much fun Fay and her friends are, and how much I really wish I were hanging out with them in Cairo again? It sounds like a blast!

Very amusing costume on Teppy. hee. After working for 12 hours Wed/Thurs/Fri, and being at work 13 hours yesterday (not really "working" for all of it) I borrowed a pitchfork from a coworker, put on horns, and wore a blue dress, to be a "devil with a blue dress on". But then I only managed to stay at the party for like, an hour, and pooped out and came home. It's COLD in my house right now, and I turned on the heat, but it doesn't seem to have turned on, so I might need to go tell it to be warmer. Hmph.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And another thing? I want to be the girl people *flirt* with, not the girl people talk about recycling with. IJS. (Artifact of the party last night. What is it about me that inspires people to talk about garbage?)

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, Teppy, wrod. Substitute "operations" for garbage and I second that emotion.(I get why though...I travel with a gigantic maim-a-thon visual aid. Sigh.)

Hi. Yes, I skipped. Thanks vw for posting the emails. When I was thinking of early morning posters I thought of you.

So what's new?

edit to flirt with Erika

LAURA! It's wonderful to see you. Do you have electricity again?

Nah, no juice, but the sweet drone of generators.

Hey, baby....you so sexy, even hurricanes are hitting on you!

(Er, see, as an example of my flirting abilities, that attempt might just illustrate why people don't flirt with me.)

Seriously, Laura -- how's everything down there?

(there is a very inappropriate response about "blowing" trying to come to life better it doesn't.) Laura...hey.

Hee. I had to tag that Steph.

Things are odd. I did a detail post in Natter. We have generator power at home and the office. Boil order on the water still. Gas becoming more available. Everything is a big mess with trees and power lines down all over.

My house did ok. Lost the pool screening and a few roof tiles. 2 mango trees and an orange lost. All the fruit is on the ground. It looks like fall up north with all the leaves blown off the trees. Pitch black at night.

The kids are supposed to do the trick or treat thing this afternoon for safety. I can't imagine them walking around at night with all the debris and no lights.

The eye of the storm was over 100 miles long so a lot of people are in the same boat. I watched the whole thing from my sliding glass doors on the side of the house away from the wind. Very dramatic.
