I'm pretty sure that would be more than just the pads. I somehow managed to ruin the rotors (discs) in my Focus and it ended up costing me about $300.
Yeah if the breaks are just squeaking and not grinding, then it's probably just the pads and will likely be in the $100 ballpark, but if the breaks are also causing the car to vibrate then the rotor might need to be turned too and that will add another $50 - $90 or so.
Bug, not that I expect you to use this but "snarky" has a very dear place in the heart of Homicide fans as well, dating from the following
