Sigh.
My grandfather was hospitalized last night for complications stemming from a blood transfusion. My mother was supposed to call me this morning to give me an update. She was supposed to call my sister, too.
She didn’t.
Now, I can’t get a hold of anyone. No cell phones, no home phones. Parents, grandmother, uncle. I’m terrified to call the hospital.
My family is weird about this stuff. Everything could be fine and they don’t want to bother me at work. My grandfather could be dead, and they don’t want to bother me at work. They wouldn’t tell my sister knowing she’d tell me.
Dammit.
I've since called the hospital - my uncle said that my mom was there and listening. He said grandpa was "busy" and he would remind my mom about calling me.
Doesn't make me feel better.
