Regular gasoline dropped to $1.999 today, after peaking at $3.099 five weeks ago. Yay for cheaper gas, but WTF drives these prices? It sure isn't local demand.
Regular peaked around $2.99 about a month ago IIRC, maybe $3.09 near the interstate. Now it's around $2.69. I think it was around $2.49 pre-Katrina.
Geez Louse-- Rochester NY has much higher gas prices than it should.... Except because there is almost no public transportation, I guess they figure they have us over a barrel...
Gas was insane around here, as I think I've mentioned before. I guess our pipelines originate in the Gulf. Plus, there are (as far as I know-since there was talk there should be) no price fixing laws, so it was all over the map. But still, I was paying more than CA?! Whoa.
The odd thing is that right now, the closer to the beltway you get, the cheaper the gas gets. This is 180 from the usual.
pictures, pictures!
Well, I'm not taking pictures of myself. If someone else takes pictures of me, and shares, so will I.
What does the phrase "brothers in arms" mean? Does it mean brotherhood forged or strengthened through fighting together?

It means "when Dire Straits went pop and sucked."
I've always taken it as so. Bonded by a commonality of mission, of taking care of one another, where the mission involves conflict. At least, that's what I've taken from the Knopfler song.
For me to buy that definition, dw, you'd have to convince me that they ever didn't suck, and that's not possible.

The first half of Making Movies? Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet, Skateaway?
I mean, that's some fine album-oriented rock there.
Subjectively, they do not a thing for me. Never have.
