Word of advice for using Expedia/Orbitz/whatever for booking hotel and plane tickets together--last summer, when the family had a reunion out in Reno, my dad used Expedia and my brother Orbitz when they booked both the flights and the rooms. The flights were both fine (even my brother's, which involved a few connections), but neither of the hotel rooms were booked, even though they had confirmations from Expedia and Orbitz saying they were. The hotel honored the confirmations, but it was a bit of a problem before everything got straightened up. Since I booked with the hotel and airline directly (just got the info from Orbitz), they had my reservation available.

ita, how many Eyes eps do you have? Would you be willing to make a trade for eps?
Six through eleven so far, Kristen, and I am certainly up for dealing in kind.
YAY! Now, I just need to figure out how to burn copies of these puppies without losing the pretty 16:9-ness.
Hi. I skipped. How are people, and can I get in on the ep trading?
Ghost Whisperer update: I still don't know what happened in the previouslies but I can report that Love has Loretta Lynn hair.
ETA: Perkins, as soon as I figure out how to work this, I'm sure we can make arrangements.
Woohoo!
(err, that was on the arrangements, not the Loretta Lynn hair.)
I'm wondering if it's more normal in black circles, or Jamaican ones, or what. It surprises me that it's a deal for anyone, and I'm wondering where I got this acculturation.
Rent parties used to be fairly common back in certain bohemian circles.
We had one once. It was kind of a bust.
The only party I've ever been to that involved money was a friend who was going to order in food for everyone -- she had drinks and things to nosh, and a menu, and just asked everyone to kick in a small amount to cover ordering the food, which seemed reasonable.
The flat $10 at the door thing seems weird to me, too.
If the Charlaine Harris books are the ones I'm thinking of (the blurb about the waitress and the brand-new love of her life who is tragically undead makes me think they are), then meh indeed.
I couldn't even finish the first one. Her writing seemed really flat to me, even though I thought the characters might be fun. Maybe some decent actors will make them more interesting.
Does Oxygen show Ever After *every* Friday night? I swear this is like the fourth week in a row I've flipped past it.
