Happy Birthday aurelia!

I knew I forgot something.

I won't talk about my hours, becuase I work part time.- but it is at a public library - there isn't much flexing- because someone has to cover the desk.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

8:30 to 5:30 is pretty standard here, and most of the people in my office have to stick to it. (Well, the 8:30 part anyway. They're not nearly so vigilant about making sure people leave by 5:30.) I personally tend more toward 9:30 to 6ish.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

8-5 is the norm here. What I wouldn't give for a 9:00 start (not to mention an 8-hour day that wasn't 9 hours).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

lori, have you ever had to work on Mars time?

lori - Oct 28, 2005 9:38:32 am PDT #9649 of 10002

yep. That was weird.

How long? Did you eventually end up, say, going to work in the evening (Earth time) and finishing in the morning?

eta: I suppose it's good that Mars has no daylight saving time....

Yeah, no farming and let's face it damn cold day or night. Yet, still much better weather than Venus.

A couple months. And yeah, it spins around your days/nights pretty fast.

Silence means security silence means approval

I will say that while I am disappointed that Father Fitzmas did not leave the Perp Walking Karl Rove action figure in my stocking, I am enjoying his telling of "A Visit From St. Grand Jury" before the Assembled Media Types.
