Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The tenant in the place before us had a cat and she scratched a hole through the vinyl floor in the kitchen and they had to replace the entire thing.

Notice me, over here, not commenting on the damage a cat can do. Nooooo, my cats would never do anything like that.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Do cats really trash an apartment? Do they mean like, spraying?

Some do. I've seen staircases that had to be pretty much recarpeted because cats used them as really long scratching posts. And then there's cat piss soaking through the carpet, the pad, and into the flooring. My downstairs neighbor has to keep her front window closed or the cat comes up to the screen and takes a dump through it. Which isn't exactly trashing the apartment, but doesn't sow joy among the neighbors.

But most of that seems to be cat-and-owner problems combined.

Always Anti-fascist!

Nutty, I wanna see that, too, despite seeing maybe ten WW in my whole life.

Heh. Ruby sounds a bit like Devi, which is to say, minimal impact on the infrastructure. Back when he was sick, I spent lots of money on special cleaners for where Mister Kitty was peeing. Thank god, not on the carpet.

Actually, almost all of the damage that Ozzie and Perkisn do is to the furniture, not the apartment itself. In my last apartment, I got all of my money back, even the carpet cleaning and defleaing amounts they said they would take out.

Thank god for Resolve carpet cleaner though.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Sometimes she pees over the side of the litter box in the bathroom. But that mops up and gets neutralized with baking soda.

And the screen in the kitchen will have to be replaced due to occassional hanging on it when something terribly interesting is happening outside.

That's pretty much it, though. She's pretty good.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My cat sratched the woodwork as high as my head by taking a flying leap and trying to hang on...

Also, the cat before mine had the stairs as scratching post thing AND the peeing on the stairs thing. My cat seems to not do these things, although he does keep pulling curtains down. Also he knock knick knacks of shelves. Inclusing ones made of breakable materials.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

how can you own a pet and not have carpet cleaner? unless you have no carpet....

though cats can do enough damage to a carpet, or other flooring, the worst of it is usually do to an owner not noticeing that they have a favorite spot for scratching. Dogs can ddo damage in a much faster time period.

Eww. Our lunch today included spinach salad, and I just used the dressing that was next to it, which turned out to be sweet.

What's worse is now I am wearing some of it.
