Dude -- so not helping:

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage decided to call his baby son Kal-El because he believes the name has a "magical ring" to it. Cage, 41, and his 21-year-old wife Alice welcomed the arrival of their first child together earlier this month, and stunned fans when they announced the baby's unusual name, which was originally given to fictional superhero Superman at birth. The Leaving Las Vegas star says, "Alice and I wanted to have a name that was exotic and American and which stood for something good, because our son is exotic and he's American and we both think he's good. But having said that, I always liked the sound of the name. It has kind of a magical ring to it: Abracadabra Kal-El Shazam!"

Yeah, that really doesn't help.

So, I watched TAR, then Nip/Tuck and a bit of the local news while I was rewinding Supernatural. Clicked over to baseball - it was in the 8th inning. Figured it would be over soon. Watched Supernatural. With the baseball during the ads. Then watched Sherlock Holmes from when I taped in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. At the end of which -- baseball STILL not over.

That was pretty unbelievable. Also, I can't believe I watched it. (Well, I was online with the tv on.)

Good thing Nicholas Cage is rich so he can pay for lots of therapy for his son.

I realise I have a thing for thrown weapons. There's Spike throwing the knife to Buffy in the snotmonster episode, forever enshrined, and Supernatural last night had a nice moment were Sam tossed Dean a necklace at the same time Dean tossed him a shotgun. Hot.

Looks like there are a couple more Eyes eps to become available. I'll put the first four on a DVD, and mail out three copies to start trees. By the weekend.

I liked it a lot, but I'm biased in favor of anything Rupert Everett's in. It was made in 2004, and while there were some bits that seemed a bit anachronistic to me I still enjoyed it greatly.

It was very enjoyable.
