Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey - it sounds like a fun trip. Well, I hope your mother has fun -- I bet the girls in the chorus will for sure!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's great, Dana.

Happy Birthday, Brenda!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

in fear that I will have to put on the heat or kill someone - ( who knew that cold could make me cranky) I readjusted the thermostat. I have to look for a new one. I'd like one where I can 1) have a different morning temp then evening and 2) have more adjustments on the weekends.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Someone just made the fantastic suggestion that I submit Save Firefly to This American Life. Ira Glass is a Whedon fan. Everything I write I read aloud, and if it doesn't work when i read it, I revise.

I have a pretty okay voice.

Does this sound overly insane and presumptuous? My agent says to of course go for it, but I'm not sure if I'm being crazy. Is this crazy?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Doesn't sound crazy to me, Allyson.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Why not go for it? What can it hurt?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'd say go for it, Allyson. Worst case, he says no. Best case, hundreds of thousands of people go, "Who is this Allyson, and where can we buy many, many copies of her work?"

From the Washington Post: [link]

Kay Bailey Hutchison Last Sunday:

I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment . . . that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality where they couldn't indict on the crime and so they go to something just to show that their two years of investigation was not a waste of time and taxpayer dollars.

Kay Bailey Hutchison in 1999:

What would we be telling Americans--and those worldwide who see in America what they can only hope for in their own countries--if the Senate of the United States were to conclude: The President lied under oath as an element of a scheme to obstruct the due process of law, but we chose to look the other way?

I cannot make that choice. I cannot look away. I vote "Guilty" on Article I, Perjury. I vote "Guilty" on Article II, Obstruction of Justice.
