I'm avoiding picking up my drycleaning for that exact reason.

The place I go, you pay when you drop them off. Which is good, except that it's bad.

take out the pieces you want done right away, and drop them off on Monday.

The pieces I want done right away are not the pieces I need done right away. I want my pretty clothes. I need my work clothes. So I just have to take the whole deal, and dump them in my trunk. And then begins the whole "when does ita have 10 minutes free near the good cleaner before 7pm?" dance. Thursday, if I behave.

Daily laundry is facilitated by owning a washing machine

I miss this. I have way too many crises, including those with too few quarters.

The cleaner isn't open before work? That sucks.

Thankfully I have a washer and dryer in the garage that I share with the front house, so I don't have to pay for normal laundry.

My parents avoided fights over who ruined whose clothes by having everyone in the house do his or her own laundry, so I've been doing my own since I was about 11. I'm grateful for that--as much as I joke about it, I actually don't mind doing laundry so long as I can do it at home.

I'm really just mocking myself because I have an absurd amount of clothing (and, of course, no children) that allows me to go far too long before doing laundry becomes necessary. With all the stress lately, it's been piling up.

The cleaner I like (i.e. affordable and hasn't broken any of my buttons yet) opens at 7:30, and that's when I have to start my commute.

My work used to have an onsite carwash, which rocked mightily. Now that we don't my car's been way too dirty way too long. They should bring more things to us.

ah. thankful again of walking passed my cleaners, grocery, drugstore, and bank on the way to subway. not to mention baskin robbins.

We have someone who will come wash and/or wax your car on site too. It's wicked expensive though.

If I had to walk my dry cleaning or groceries anywhere further than to or from my car, they'd get done even more rarely.

I was just heading out to krav and when I came back to get some stuff for my Shuffle I realised I hadn't put my shirt on.

That sure was lucky.
