Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Plei, I'm listening to the new DM album! So far I'm quite pleased. There's a song called "Lilian." I'm finding it amusing...

Oh, Lilian
Look what you've done
You've stripped my heart
Ripped it apart
In the name of fun

Oh, Lilian
I'm a poor man's son
And precious jewels
Weren't found in schools
Where I came from

Pain and misery always hit the spot
Knowing you can't lose what you haven't got

Oh, Lilian
I should have run
I should have known
Each dress you own
Is a loaded gun

Oh, Lilian

Oh, Lilian
I need protection
I hear your voice
And any choice I had is gone

Oh, Lilian
Once I begun
I couldn't stop
'til every drop of blood was gone

Pain and misery always hit the spot
Knowing you can't lose what you haven't got

Oh, Lilian
Look what you've done
You stripped my heart
Ripped it apart
In the name of fun

Oh, Lilian
Oh, Lilian
Oh, Lilian
Oh, Lilian

move out and draw fire

Scientists had long believed that Velociraptors used the curved appendage to disembowel prey...But a robotic model showed that the claw was used in a fatal embrace to hang on to the victims

Clearly scientists need to catch up on their D&D Monster Manual v3.5.

And let me just say that my first thought upon reading that folks at the Uni of Manchester were attacking pig carcasses with a robotic velociraptor limb was "Football season must be over."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Feh. I'm sick.

OTOH, round numbers.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn! I need the new DM.

But Balthazar Whozzit is cute enough.

The one who looks kind of like the missing Sheen? From Lost Highway?

Huh. May have to tune in.

Our wings are not tired.

Wake up thread!

This slow moving Wilma has put Floridians lives on hold all week. Very tiresome. It needs to fizzle and die. Cancun and Cozumel must be in very bad shape by now. It's just sitting there.

Just overcast here. I figure to do yard work while the sun is missing.

English Muffin:

I watched seasons 1&2 of Alias straight through over a summer to prepare for the start of season 3. Marathon watching is the way to go. I'm doing that now with s1 of VM and it rocks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wake up thread!

Wake up thread!

Some of us have been awake for hours. Well, two hours. Two is more than one! And half eleven is a perfectly reasonable time to get up on a Saturday.
