'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies all!

Cable was mysteriously out this morning, and I wasn't in a hurry to log on, so I went off to Yoga (and had a good session), walked leisurely back, ate some lunch and finally got around to checking to see if the connection was working or if I'd have to call.

Somewhere in there, a load of laundry occurred.

It's possible I may take a nap some time this afternoon. Also a shower is in my immediate future....

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I ran an okay 5K (Race for the Cure) this morning, and after a bagel and a bath and some coffee, am feeling vaguely human again. Am contemplating dinner. Do not want to go grocery shopping.

Scientists running out of names for things on Mars:

The twin rover missions have forced scientists to come up with more than 4,000 names to mark everything from the majestic Columbia Hills to a few pebbles in the sand.

The result is an extravagantly labeled map punctuated by the scientists' ever-changing preoccupations with history, holidays, monkeys, ice cream, cartoon characters, sushi, Mayan words, Scandinavian fish delicacies … the list goes on and on.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I read that article somewhere. They never mention what monkey names got used.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Jessica, I keep trying to get Lori to get the scientists to name something after me on Mars! to no avail.

they should sell the names to fund the next mission.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I need for there to be a feature somewhere named Marvin.

Thank heavens. My Daffy Duck-based knowledge of Mars remains unchallenged!

It's like they asked us to name an entire world.

Suddelny I'm glad all we have to grapple with is threads.
