You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Leonard Roberts was Forrest on Buffy, and one of the last survivors of Krypton (not too rare a group, that) on Smallville.

Perkins -- better her than me, that's for sure.

Art Crawl!!!

Duh! I totally forgot the actor's name. Although I recognized him on the show and I saw him recently elsewhere also playing a baddie. What was it?

I can't remember.

On edit: checked the IMDB - I think it was "Drumline" - I stumbled across that on tv sometime in the past couple of weeks and there he was. Not really a baddie -- just kinda sorta. (Also, he was in an episode of Due South, isn't that funny?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I just had the ultimate Buffista evening. There were corsets and bustiers, and vampy singing, and dorks turning into hot jugglers, and splendid frilly drinks, and beautifully dressed people, and trapeze artists and singers and tons of pop-culture references, and lots of different music--

and

and!

a theremin!

(Yes, I went to Teatro Zinzanni. Worth nearly every penny. People coming to SF for the F2F should get tickets and go. Really.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

better her than me, that's for sure.

The "tiny" part makes it fit her better. You're short, but not tiny.

Silence means security silence means approval

And since y'all are going to ignore the baseball post...

The tree is now down. The small branches are shredded, the big parts are curing for firewood. That plus the excising of the offending rhodedendron in our yard means there's a lot of light in the front yard.

Annabel brushed her teeth for the first time tonight (with Daddy's help). Used the Tom's of Maine kid's toothpaste. Susan provided a helpful demonstration. She seemed to enjoy it.

And since people love toddler pics:
Mom's favorite

Yes, I went to Teatro Zinzanni. Worth nearly every penny.

Did you know... part of the profits for the SF Teatro find there way into Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival?

I knew someone who worked for One Reel who told me this. Basically, everything One Reel does subsidizes their loss-leader spectacular, Bumbershoot.

More often I get tiny than short.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn it, ita. That almost makes me want to watch Smallville again (well, not the Marsters part). This is the first season where I haven't watched it at all.

Except the writers who are on JJ Abrams shows.

I think DeKnight's on Smallville now.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am pretty sure that 5 hours of sleep is not enough for me, but I am learning not to go back to sleep once I wake up. That way lies the ugly cousins grogginess and sluggishness.

So, am up and having breakfast. Eating before shower is my new attempt at setting a routine that gets food into my belly faster. Most days I am awake 3-4 hours before I eat, that's not good.

Looks like a sunny day, but crisp - high of only 65.

move out and draw fire

Argh. My landlord had his gardening service "trim" all the plants in my balcony planters. Apparently he didn't want so much as a leaf to grow beyond the edge of the planter, so all the work I've been doing to get nice, full, boxes with overflowing flowers, to break up the sterile white right angles, has come to naught.

They chopped some of the prickly pear blades right in half, to even them up with the edge.

This after he lectured me for an hour last year about how those planters were my responsibility to keep nice.
