So what are people doing this weekend?
Seeing Wallace & Grommit tonight, then closing weekend of Faire all weekend. Everyone is in a tizzy because Fred Willard is going to be there taping a show. I don't know whether to squee or melt into a puddle of formless dread.
SIS recruits high-calibre, motivated and dynamic staff to perform operational, technical and administrative functions in the UK and abroad. Send a CV and letter explaining which position you wish to be considered for to PO Box 1301 (not PO Box 1300), London, SE1 5UD.
I enjoy the fact that they feel the need to reiterate the address. I would have thought that someone can't pay enough attention to get the CV to the right place would be a clue that they may not have the skills needed to be a spy.
But I'm really curious as to who owns Box 1300 that they're so anxious to keep their applicants' CVs away from.
If I were Jesse, my plans for the weekend would have included a lot more squeeing than hers did.
IJS.
JZ, I am so bummed I am going to miss the Faire this year. Hopefully next year I will be less hermit like.
Oh, the squeeing goes without saying. I feel a little bad for my parents, because by the time they get into town, it'll be past their bedtime, but I have MANY MANY THINGS TO TELL THEM!!!!!!
No chance this weekend? Ah, well. Phooey.
Possibly we could brunch or something next weekend?
So what are people doing this weekend?
Being at home for a change. Lots of novel editing, since I'm planning to mail a partial to an agent I met at conference last weekend on Monday.
But I'm really curious as to who owns Box 1300 that they're so anxious to keep their applicants' CVs away from.
Al Quaeda?
har. actually, box 1300 is the address that you write to if you have "intelligence to report"
May I note that Kat usually did a ice bath immediately after running long distances? Not quite as much fun as hot bath and cold beers. But apparently more effective.
WOW! Kat is HARDCORE! I think I could deal with the pain the next day better than an ice bath.
I'm doing another 1/2 at the end of November. So it's like I'm doing a whole marathon this fall...just spread out over a month and a half! The one tomorrow is in the very hilly city. It's going to be kinda rough probably. But the one in Nov. is on a nice, relatively flat trail north of town. We're hoping it will be a cake walk compared to tomorrow's run.
