Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

But if you can't recognise a carb at ten paces, shut up.

On a similar note, if you can't grok that a giganto-coke with endless free refills is not going to have the same effect as "a coke" in the single 12-ounce sense.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

8 DAYS OF RAIN, locusts and frogs are next people. honest yo dog.

Pfft. During the El Nino winter ('99?) it rained 57 days out of 60. And they weren't light showers either.

It's Indian Summery in San Francisco, and I'm meeting a friend for lunch. With any luck at all this week will end on an up note.

brillig

My eating habits suck, but they suck in ways I'm both aware of and willing to live with

Indeed. People say, "You're in denial about your health!" No, I know exactly how bad this is for me and how I should be tracking it better. I'm doing it anyway, denying nothing. (Which is the problem)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But still ... it's not like I was doing more exercise than normal. Just different exercise.

Ah, but that's where you've added too many variables to make it easy. I don't exercise at all, so it's all about what I'm eating. If by accident I do get more exercise than usual, that's pretty simple to take into account, too.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ETA: Is anyone watching The Adam Carolla Project? I'm liking it way more than I thought I would.

I AM! It's really fun. I'm glad to see Carolla just hang out and rant, since he does it so well.

I am protesting the Adam Carolla Project, because they have a huge tacky ad right outside my school, and it irks me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Of course, I seem to be having a problem with the eating-right-and-exercising thing at the moment myself.

Me too, but it doesn't have anything to do with not knowing what I should/shouldn't be eating and why. That said, I'm trying to get myself back into points (WW-style) because it is really easy to lose track of how much I've consumed in little bits here and there, which is totally my problem area.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am protesting the Adam Corolla Project because he doesn't know who Andy Kindler is.

Vicodin for all!

Psuedo-ephedrine for some!

Nyquil, nyquil, NYQUIL! You giant fuckin' Q!!!

Well, you know, where's the challenge in the "Eat Better and Exercise" plan?

There's the exciting possibility that the boredom might kill you...

It's not boring the way I do it.
