Just don't burn your hot chocolate!

I would never. How do you even burn hot chocolate? I think I am probably saved from this kind of thing by not having a microwave. I guess you could burn the milk in the saucepan, but that's a whole different thing.

If it's like most office microwaves I've seen (which, ewwwww!), you burn hot chocolate by letting it boil over, leaving it for someone else to clean up, and letting the remains char to black gunk over repeated nukings.

People are nasty.

Luckily, no one much uses the microwave at my office. Oh, speaking of office appliances: when I went to make a copy at 1pm, I had to turn the copier on. This place is DEAD.

Tens of millions of dollars worth of vintage wine were believed to have been destroyed by a relentless fire Wednesday at a huge Vallejo warehouse that was considered one of the most secure places for wineries and individuals to store prized collections.

The truly ironic thing is that they made a big fuss about how safe the building was -- "a safe and secure environment that provided "the highest standard of care," because of dense concrete walls, its concrete roof and heavy steel doors. The site was previously used to store Navy torpedoes". Unfortunately, all that concrete and steel made it impossible for the firefighters to get in. Oops.

At least I'm not on the same floor as the fishlady any more.

I just put in a ticket to the IT department because they've just configured a portion of the network such that it can't access the main ftp server. I'm just waiting for them to assign it back to my platform because of course, they could not have done something wrong, it must be us despite us being around for the past 4 years, stable, which is more than they can say. @@

Oh, good news! I just actually opened the pdf, instead of looking at it inside my email, and the capitalization is appropriate. So that's a relief.

I'm going to go get myself a Schlotsky's sandwhich.

There are all of three Schlotsky's in Los Angeles, and none of them are within a forty minute drive of me.

I miss Schlotsky's sandwiches SO MUCH. (I used to work at one, back in Michigan)

Wow. I just missed Zingerman's. That's kinda weird.

But, hey! My 11 call ended early, so I can go nap on my normal schedule. As soon as I finish my followup items, because I'm a good little girl.

I scanned in two pages of the Tim popup book. I can't load them onto my server from work, but will when I get home. I have to finish the last page when I get home tonight, and then bind it. SO HAPPY!
