And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I could go to Chipotle for lunch, instead of a salad.

Chipotle has salads now! (I mean, it's basically a burrito bol with dressing, but they call it a salad. Oh, and I think it has lettuce instead of rice.)

Having skipped class last night, I got an email from one of my fellow group members which ended with:

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I would enjoy that. But possibly not enough to walk there and back today.

I wonder if my cheese craving is related to my wiredness.

Cheese cravings need no justification.

My lunch is/was roasted turkey and provolone with parsley (tasted more pestoy) mayo on a ciabatta, with a handful of greens with some sort of tangy dressing.

Saving the other half for later.

Still going to go into a food coma, though. I mean, TURKEY. But the roast beed had blue cheese and nothing else really appealed.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just worked out why my father's going to Shanghai this autumn. Tennis. I'm such a slow learner.

msbelle, my Thatcher thing was perfectly sensible. Woman. In charge of country. When you're ten, that's very impressive. I may only recently have started crying when women do stuff onscreen, but the seeds were well laid.

This fall, a woman will be president indeed.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

my Thatcher thing was perfectly sensible. Woman. In charge of country. When you're ten, that's very impressive.

And then you realize that the helmet hair should have been a warning that she was not, actually, the kind of person you want in charge anyway, right? I mean, yay woman, but, of all women -- Margaret Thatcher?

That is like worshipping Phyllis Schlafly, or Ann Coulter.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I did go downstairs, considered both the soups and the hot food bar, but ended up with my same old salad I always get. But I did get tea to go with it, so that's something.
