Without having read the article, I can say that I don't think it's something I'm necessarily owed by the hotel industry, but it is something I look for on lists of amenities. I like high-speed internet access, and I like getting things for free.

I think high speed internet access should be free in hotels. They often charge so much for local calls anyway. And nothing is ever free in hotels. They will fold it into the price of the room.
