Yeah, I've noticed that, too. Is any of your kids old enough to attend the prayers with you, at least partially?
My oldest is five, and she actually attended a baby-sitting program with other children that I think she got a lot more out of than sitting in synagogue with me. On a regular Shabbat, my oldest and middle daughter (3) sometime come with me in the morning and sit until the baby-sitting programs begin. And often at the end of services my (current) youngest comes in for the Aanim Zemirot and Adon Olom (concluding prayers.)

Oh, oh, oh dear. They have a vampire costume, complete with fanged smiley-face stickers. I think I must have that.
Wolfram, I just had to try and explain this to a foreign student here. It was just as clunky and strange. And, of course, the same for you and all your family.
Thanks, and the same to you and yours.
I have the woman's lj name, I'll email her and ask if she is planning on posting the cozy pattern soon.
Before yesterday, I had never heard of Annie's mac-n-cheese. Then last night, I look over DH's shoulder as he was reading a business management textbook and there was a case study about Annie's! Weird, right? Well, today I was at the store, looking at organic pasta, and I look up and there is Annie's mac-n-cheese. I assumed it was destiny and bought the macaroni.
Wow, I need more caffeine. I almost sent an e-mail just now about "Adoble Photoship".
My head is pasteded on yay!
My sort of destiny meant I went to the supermarket and bought premade, hot mac and cheese for lunch.
Fated to be lazy.
a baby-sitting program with other children
A few - very few - synagogues here start having such programs, and I think it's an excellent idea, as a grown-up. I'm glad to read you think it's working well for the children, as well.

This reads lovely, as well.

Snerk.
