Once I bought soy milk cheese and melted it on my burgers.
We don't have - as far as I know - soy cheese that is nearly good enough to imitate the flavor of a dairy cheese.
When they just started making vegetarian fake-meat products here, one of the first things I did was melt cheese on a fake-burger. I liked the flavor enough that I still do it sometimes. If I'm really wild, I put ketchup on it.
[Edit: x-post with PMM.
Also, Gud! How are you doing?]
I don't think I've had veggie bacon, but I have done the reverse too: real cheese on spicy blackbean soy burgers. I prefer the latter because the spicy blackbean soy burgers are delicious, and soy cheese NSM.
Double Nilly X-Post!
When I went to see Serenity there was a woman who'd knitted a Jayne hat Ipod cozy.
This is something I want.
Ooh, maybe I'll have the rest of my Morningstar mini veggie corn-dogs for dinner.
Oh, and I forgot, hey, Wolfram! Long time no post together. How was Rosh-Hashana? Are your schedule for October all crazy because of the days of the week of all the holidays?
[Edit: 5*2=3+7, also, Wolfram, third time: ice-cream!]
That's what the blackbean burgers are: Morningstar. My wife actually crumbles them in a noodle casserole with sauce and cheese and...suddenly I'm really hungry.
A friend of mine who's a Jewish vegetarian once bought some vegetarian bacon just to freak out her roomates. She started frying it up one morning without her roomies knowing what it really was....
Still, it would have to be pornographic bacon with added caffeine to get at the true Buffista archetype.
Pornographic bacon... fails to titillate. Consuming pornography, bacon, and caffeine all at the same time, however, sounds like a fun evening.
(My god, somebody make me stop with the baconery. "shrift's talking about bacon; must be Tuesday.")
Mmmm. Wolfram, that sounds really good right now.
Hi Nilly!
I've been better. ION, Leif is now reading simple books and Emaryn is starting second grade math. Math used to be her favorite subject until word problems. Now her favorite is science.
