Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You know, I never considered how many co-workers were going to be at this ceremony. Boss's boss's boss was there, for crying out loud. I hobbed a little and nobbed a bit. Spent most of the evening chatting with the extremely cool wife of a co-worker. I'm basically anti- external socialising with co-workers, but I'd totally hang with the wife.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

edit: Can I marry that picture? Is that legal in a Bush government?

There's a reason I had to go all the way to australia to find it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You know, the 5th's a Saturday. Would this be an after dinner party?

Is there a dinner I'm supposed to be at on Saturday?

It would be our usual DotD blowout where we provide food and drinks and painted glasses. Last year we didn't do it. But this year, I like enough people in my life to want to do it again.

Whew! I thought I was double booked! Which I did for 10/22. I need to keep a better calendar. Which I am incapable of doing. I'm also incapable of being organized, remembering to wash my face before I sleep or doign the dishes.

Oh, she looks marvellous here too.

::sigh::

I just read about the quake -- 18,000 dead in Pakistan. I know now always seems like the worst time, but damn. What's with all the dead folk?

of course you'd be invited, though our place wouldn't be the best place to stay due to fucked uppedness.

So I would have to blatantly invite myself over to someone's house or find a hotel? I could do that.
