My favorite version of that song had Jennings singing a last line that was something like, "My mama wants to know why she only sees my pants and not my face on TV," which completely charmed me, even though I hadn't been a fan of the show.

I hate being in moving pictures. Grrr. They also shot some short clips for a krav internal video montage, and they came by on a day where I teach three classes and pretty much no one else shows up. So I was all over it. Nothing like having the most senior instructors up there watching you doing defenses all large and in technicolour glory.
Yuck.
I thought the Jazz were from New Orleans.
Some years ago they were.
ETA: Not since '79, though.
Yoouuu oughta be in pictures....
Now I feel I should not get my haircut next week if I'm going to do this Velma thing. Har.
When I was 10 my parents were grasped by a 1960’s ideal of self-sufficiency. Then moved us to a small farm, planted a huge garden, and started raising pigs, cattle, and chickens for food. We kids gave the animals fanciful names like Buttercup, Heathcliff, and Pansy.
My uncle bought a cow to raise when we were kids. His daughter named her and babied her and when the time came for slaughter--well...no freakin' way that was going to happen. My uncle had to go out and buy some old, tough cow for their winter meat supply and I swear their pet cow lived to be a ripe, old age.

I meant, as in not from St. Louis. Like how I'm still from Jamaica, although I left shortly after the Jazz went north.
So wait, are the movies of skits for dayjob work or your krav work?
If dayjob, what kind of movie are you making about your workplace where hitting is necessary?!
ita, are you playing the thug in a "don't assault your coworkers" training film?

The skits are dayjob -- the krav stuff is just filming classes.

Well, it was the least actingish thing they could have asked -- it's a meeting, and the guy sitting next to me says "Gentlemen..." and I smack his arm, and he retools his address. Perfectly in character, have done many times before. Except the guy I hit usually whines about it.
And then the cameraman's all "You were good with the hitting!" Stop!
