Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So a little before 11:00 one of the IT people in NY said he would call me in 10 minutes to do some testing on the system that hasn't worked well since I started this job.

He's going to call the minute I give up on waiting and go get my lunch, isn't he?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Hey, cool, Christina Hendricks (Saffron) was there. Shame about the dress, though.

I have no idea who a lot of these people in that second set of pictures are.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I do get tired of being the email skeptic sometimes. It'd be so much easier to be all, "Ooh, really? How fantastic/scary/wonderful/beautiful/awful/strangely confirming all my ideas about how the world works!" instead of, "Hmm, sounds a bit too neat to me. I think I'll go check Snopes."
