I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Thanks all for the alumni advice. Sadly, I don't think they "get it," and we're about to embark on one of those silly projects that no one ends up using.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hrrmph. Their top 20 monkey searches include neither finger monkeys nor monkey pants. What good are they?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And a "grease monkey" isn't a monkey at all.

I was about to make this very complaint!

Good news: The experimental cervical cancer vaccine is 100% effective in the short term. A few more clinical trials and it'll be public.

(One of our professors was one of the two researchers who figured out the vaccine initially.)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The dinner I had a Bolo years ago is still in my top 10 probably of meals.

I just ate there a couple months ago and it was only OK. Same for Mesa Grill a couple years ago. Good restaurants in the city seem to go downhill at some point, although it seems like I never hear anything bad about Batali's. In that vein I just ate at the new place "Diner" and it was pretty awesome, actually.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently there's video on the web of a naked Janet Jackson spanking her ass. It doesn't seem to be footage she took herself. Not sure that'll make her less pissed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, sweet Jesus on a rowboat. Four or five weeks into this project, and someone has just asked me, "We get a printed document in addition to the training course, right?"

Dilbert was a documentary.

What is even happening?

Is there a chance the chef is branching out? Todd English's place Olive's went downhill once English became a name.

Oh, speaking of chefs, I noticed last night on my TiVo that no new Kitchen Confidentials are scheduled. Is this one of the shows that is off the air for the month, or has the rumor that the show was a goner--the rumor that was debunked--been rebunked? Does anyone know? I am *really* enjoying the show, so I expect it will be gone soon.
