I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like The Manolo. He makes me realise that being a shoe person could be fun. Not fun enough to actually do it, but still. They can be very pretty.

There's a lemon poppy pound cake in the break room, with a knife. Someone's put a towel on top of the cake case, but not in a hidey way. Does that mean I can't take a slice? Normally, food left on the tables and counters is totally free for all.

No, I guess I should stick to my La Creme. But I want complex carbs, preferably with a hint of citrus.

Oh! I tried the Odwalla lemonade, and it's brilliantly sour, but still has a bit of the bottled lemon juice taste -- what's up with that? Fresh OJ tastes different from the bottled stuff, but mostly in a better way. Fresh lemon juice and bottled taste like they come from different fruit.

Oh, and game shows are hard. Now, if they had one where you got to search the web for answers, I'd rock.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I left it at the store where I bought CDs to bring to the people who are hosting me and my parents in Baton Rouge.

Oh, argh. I hope it's somewhere easy for you to get back to?

Timelies, all. My stomach has been growling continuously for the past hour. Thank god it's finally past noon so I can go eat my lunch.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

ita, the bread is for the taking. The towel is probably to keep any bugs that might be around off.

At least, that's what we do in my office.

It's on top of a plastic lid, though. I think it's the sanitary equivalent of peeing on it. What it's really done is made me obsessed with the damned cake. But I don't want to be a lunch-stealer.

Maybe I should hover...

Curse you, ita. Now I want lemon poppyseed pound cake.

I passed on lemon poppy seed cake and had a raspberry white chocolate scone with my iced latte. Now I can make it to lunch.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I got sushi for lunch, when what I really wanted is pizza, but I've been eating like crap for the last few days. It's good, but so not what I wanted! Bleh.

I had salmon and mango sushi yesterday. Very interesting. I'd like to try it again at a good restaurant.
