We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Kalshane, I've also heard that. I've decided to watch it more as art/entertainment than as reality.

I can understand that. And apologies if I came across as judgemental. Though when I first heard about the series, I wondered (and still do)about the tastefullness of making a show about a war real people are still dying in on a daily basis.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yep. Cyrillic has its roots in the Greek alphabet.

OK, thank goodness. At first glance, I was sure it was Russian, but then I was like, "...because I can tell that's lambda? That's not Russian!"

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Doesn't lambda look the same as whatever we call the l-letter in Cyrillic?

ETA: Nope. You can definitely see the resemblance, but it's a different character.

ETA2: Or as Sally says, "Whole area of sex with nothing for them to do. Answered my own question, haven't I?" Only without the lesbian sex part.

OK, so it was Greek, then. Many many Scientology CDs or DVDs in Greek. It's an amazing world, isn't it?

I'm asleep now. I would totally bag off work tomorrow if (a) I hadn't been unable to do any work at all last time I was there and (b) I didn't have all of next week off from classes, thanks to Yom Kippur.

I would totally bag off work if a) I hadn't already missed a half day this week. b) We didn't have meeting from 8:15 to 11, then 2-4. c) I had a better reason than "I couldn't fall asleep and so chatted online all night.".

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

A tune that sounds a lot like Starfish and Coffee is being used on a Campbells soup commercial. Very strange.

ION... How 'bout those Sox?!
