Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Nipsey Russell news is intellectually sad for me. Ronnie Barker, on the other hand, was part of my childhood TV, and may he rest in peace.

Then everyone sits on large cushioned air-hockey pucks....

You do this with a krav conference room, and you've just about guaranteed Rollerball 2: Electric Boogaloo.

It's a 15x15 room. From googling and seeing stuff like your link, it seems the best/common thing is to not commit, huh? Reconfigurable furniture. The sofa idea seems like quite the commitment to a limited number of variations.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Aside from the relative remoteness of the Court to a possible criminal indictment in the Plame case, Miers would probably have to recuse. Whereas any other nominee would probably be loyal to the President but not required to recuse. So she's not nominated for that reason.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

ita, the new girl at daycare has a bag that says, "ITA LOVES YOU". It made me laugh.

Can I sue? That sounds like slander, or something.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Slashdot weighs in on the Miers nomination:

"Bush's most recent Supreme Court nominee, Harriet Miers, successfully argued that people who were sold defective software by Microsoft weren't "injured," and couldn't participate in a class action against the company. The case involved unstable compression features in MS DOS 6.0, which were corrected by a $9.95 update, MS DOS 6.2. Plaintiffs wanted Microsoft to offer the updates for free, but eventually lost to Miers' arguments."

[link]

Huh. I remember that. I used the MS DOS 6.0 compression feature because I figured, "Hey, it's Microsoft - they make DOS. It must be good."

It was my first experience with shitty MS software.

eta: I suppose I should add that since she was working for MS, there's nothing wrong with her doing her job to the best of her ability.

You might love her - she was a very cute little girl. But yeah, sue away. I get a finder's fee.

I might love her, Aimée, but what about all the people her bag is telling that I love them? I'm way too crusty for that.

Some of my sister's Kenya pics. Featuring moi.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those are great, ita. My only problem with the last one is that apparently in For Better or For Worse (the comic strip) they used "roadside" as fake slang to mean a slut, which got picked up by this comic blog, so the caption made me laugh. Actually, I guess that's not a problem after all.
