Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just realised that I have a commitment ceremony to attend this weekend. I might have to drop the cash on that dress after all. For very First World values of the words "have to."

For the dress in question, does one have to wear stilettos?

Is this a life partners commitment? I think I need more coffee despite the late hour here, because at first, all I could think was mental institution.

I might have to drop the cash on that dress after all.
You poor, poor dear.

does one have to wear stilettos?
What are you thinking of wearing, instead?

Shoes will need to be bought, I think, either way. I just want to buy shoes I can walk in without practice.

well, "have to" is kinda strong. should one wear stilettos? Yes. But, this is a dress that emphasizes leg. If you have other shoes that accentuate the leg, then go for it.

The friend I was out with insisted they need a teensy heel. I have heels as high as the stilettos she was suggesting, but they're not delicate.

Cindy -- those are cool! Now it occurs to me I might be stuck with needing something higher, because of the length of the dress, though. Man, it was relaxing when I wasn't thinking seriously about buying it.

Yeah, I was going to ask about the length of the dress. I know you're fairly tall, though. When you go back to the store, bring along a pair of stiletto height ones, and a pair that are more comfortable to you, and see hwo the dress falls, maybe?

Our wings are not tired.

Stilettos would be nice, but if it means sitting in a chair with ice on your ankle, not so much. Nice people getting all committed so you can buy pretty dress.

Do people have any luck buying shoes on line? I tried on a number of shoes in my size last weekend and none of them fit properly. I don't think I could order them without fitting first.

edit to note pretty shoe choices!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I do think that dress calls for dainty shoes, but not sure about the height.
