Where's Narrator?
Here.
Shouldn't one of the most important judges in the country have experience as a judge? Or is that just crazy talk?
A balance on the Court is usually viewed as helpful -- someone from the "real world" who has experience developing and implimenting laws. It's just that Miers basic qualification seems to be that she's from Bush's inner circle. And she's a woman.
What's the thing called that's basically as covered as a burqa, but with an eye hole? There's (at least one) woman in my neighborhood who wears that.
Hijab, head covering. Chador, Iranian body/head covering, Full on, Afghani burqa.
In some way, I'm heartened to believe that W actually does make the big decisions himself. Of course, I don't know that the decisions make any actual sense, but it's something. ... Isn't it?
When I mentioned
Serenity
to co-workers the reaction was usually, "Oh, yeah I've seen the ads. It looks good." The Mal-Jayne argument seems to be a winner with people unfamiliar with
Firefly.

I don't think this helps me sleep better at night.
ita, I thought that was going to happen too.
Now that I've come to the end of the GA ep, I'm more worried that they're going to
soften Alex, and have the underwear model get with them. Also not a fan of pining George. He makes it seem like he won't schtup again, unless it's Meredith.
I thought that was going to happen too.
It seemed quite pointed that the doctors were the ones who decided
the father was a beater, and that the kid obviously had anger problems.
Bah.
Oh. I knew Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were at the Sox/Yankees match-up this weekend. I knew people like Spike Lee, Robert Redford, and James Taylor were there. I'd heard Diddy was there, and other famous people as well.
I did not know Seth Green and Eliza Dushku were there.

Okay, is Chicago similar to New York when it comes to baseball team loyalty? That is, are you rooting for the White Sox?
Also, did you get the messages I left you in-thread the other day, from Catriona, clarrie, Rachie and Seska?
ita, did you read the Los Angeles Magazine story about GA? It answers,
and not in a good way, one of your fears.
I wanted the same thing you did about the kid.
I
just
flipped through the EW article on GA (I'm still behind), and it answered the question too. What is
with
the inability to have a character stay
both unpleasant and charismatic/entertaining?
Unless he's going to
screw her over,
which strikes me as more
unpleasant than is sustainable.
