I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

if GWB was seen drinking, he probably has been back on the sauce for awhile now (like 1-2 years) and it is just coming out because his approval rating is low.

To be fair, if I was GWB right now, I'd want a large drink, too. Actually, I'm not GWB (thank Gaia), and I still want a large drink.

However, I never said I should be President of the US. Heck, I've never said I should be Mayor of Fuquay-Varena (just a 25 minute tractor trailer pull from NC State).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The bits I remember of the Fillion convo were him asking something like "What do you have to do that's so important you can't be here?" and saying "I've heard so much about you."

He had the most impish grin on his face the whole time -- he certainly was a charmer. Let's just say -- not less attractive than onscreen. Which totally also goes for Principal McHottie. DAYUM. And tall, too. They must have dug him a ditch for most of his Buffy appearances.

I felt kinda bad not having watched HIMYM, because Colin bolted over to AD and AH, and I actually had nothing to say to her when she was being happy about her new show. But I liked KC, and it's the season pass. NB ... well, he's got little to do with that, because he had little to do.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I can't say I really begrudge the man a shot or two. Well, except insofar as I instinctively begrudge him everything other than a sharp stick in the eye.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It sounds so FUN! Yahoo!

No, but I did tell him there might be plotzing. Was there plotzing? There was, wasn't there?

I'm SO happy I managed to get him to make the call. Security was being all gruff and stuff, but I was with Tim's PA, so I got through.

As long as I try not to think, I'm not a bitter person. But when I do think, I am bitterbitterBITTER. (someone just asked me how work was going. I got rabid. Wasn't expecting that.)

What is even happening?

My take on GWB drinking again, is this:

a) He is rationale: The Enquirer (Inquirer?) might figure passing on possible-junk about a random celebrity (even random-lawsuit-inclined-celebrity) might end them in court, but is worth the risk, because they'll break even on the publicity end of things. However, I can't see them not fearing even a 5% possibility that they're wrong, when they're talking about a sitting President of the U.S. How could it be worth the potential hassle?

OR

*dons tinfoil hat*

b) He's not drinking, but people formerly on GWB's side have turned on him, and are setting him up. If this is the case, they're pretty powerful, if they're able to convince The Enquirer that they have a reliable source.

Either way, I don't wish active addiction on anyone. Of course, I haven't hated GWB since I got over the 2000 Election. I'm not happy with a lot of things he's done, but I'm not in the he's-clearly-satan's-spawn-camp, either (although his mother's quote after the hurricane made me reconsider that opinion). But even if I hated him, I wouldn't wish a relapse on him.
